On Tuesday, May 16th, the 2nd grade took a walking trip to the Calvary Cemetary to put American flags on veterans' headsteones in honor of Memorial Day. The children met with veterans who served in the Korean War, Vietnam War and Iraq War. Veterans from the Army, Navy, Marines and Guardsman spoke to the studies about their service and their experiences.
